TOUR ITINERARY
OCTOBER 2025
DAY 01
Edinburgh
Welcome to Edinburgh! After settling in at your accommodation, Wilde Aparthotels Edinburgh (or similar), you'll meet your hosts, Megan & Kate, and fellow travelers for a private walking tour of Old Town. After working up an appetite, we'll relax over food and good conversation at our welcome dinner! The rest of the evening is yours to explore the historic streets of Edinburgh.
DAY 02
Edinburgh to Glencoe
After breakfast, we’ll depart Edinburgh and head west, stopping at the picturesque village and Outlander filming location, Culross. Meander the cobbled streets, enjoying the charming 17th century burgh and views into the gardens of Culross Palace. Next, we’re off to the historic city of Stirling for lunch and to visit the dramatic Stirling Castle. Before reaching our accommodation in Glencoe, Kingshouse Hotel (or similar), we'll explore Loch Awe, the home of the atmospheric Kilchurn Castle, and St. Conan’s Kirk. Once we arrive at Kingshouse, take in the stunning views with a stroll around the property before we meet for a delicious dinner and settle into our accommodation for the evening.
DAY 03
Glencoe to Isle of Skye
Today we'll get an early start and explore the spectacular Glencoe area, a hiker’s paradise and filming location for endless films/tv series. After enjoying a scenic walk, we'll have lunch and head to the the tranquil shores of Loch Shiel, visiting the Glenfinnan Monument, enjoying views of the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter) where, if we're lucky, we'll catch sight of the Jacobite steam train. Next, we’ll head through stunning Highland landscapes and make our way “o’er the sea to Skye” for dinner before settling into our accommodation in Portree for the next 3 nights, Marmalade Hotel or Bosville Hotel (or similar).
DAY 04
Isle of Skye
For our first full day on Skye, we'll lace up our hiking boots and explore so many of the awe-inspiring sites and filming locations (Snow White and the Huntsman, Stardust, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Highlander) Skye has to offer including: The Fairy Pools, the Quiraing, and Fairy Glen while listening to tales of magic and folklore, allowing the landscape to come to life. Enjoy dinner on your own in Portree, taking the evening to explore the harbor town on foot before relaxing back at your accommodation.
DAY 05
Isle of Skye
It's Book Club Day! Time permitting, we'll start our morning with a seaside walk, taking in postcard worthy views of the colorful harbor before an archery session outside of Portree. After hitting our targets, we’ll pair local delicious treats with fun, lively conversation, sharing our opinions, hot takes, and overall thoughts on our fantasy book club pick. Afterwards, we'll head to Neist Point, where we'll take in the stunning views of its cliffs and lighthouse before making our way back towards Portree for dinner.
DAY 06
Isle of Skye to Edinburgh
On our final day of adventure, we’ll wave goodbye to Skye and stop at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle for pictures and quick refreshments. Continuing back towards Edinburgh, we’ll stop for lunch in Fort Augustus, taking in views and tales of Loch Ness before heading south to Dunkeld, home of the picturesque Hermitage, where we’ll visit its waterfall and walk amongst the big trees. Arriving back in Edinburgh, we’ll enjoy our last dinner together, sharing our individual heroine arcs, favorite trip moments, and most memorable tales from our journey through Scotland!
